Dearest Peter/Dad, think of and miss you every day. You are forever in our thoughts, hearts and prayers, today and always. Masses and tonnes of love, Sheila and Tom
It was a huge pleasure and privilege to work with Peter at The Times and other newspapers over the years. He was gentle, kind and very funny and is still very much missed.
Dear Dad/Peter Forever in our hearts. Lots of love
You sadly went too soon dear friend. Greatly missed by your many work colleagues and friends. Rest in peace Peter xxx

Heaven has gained a true gentleman. You were a great friend to Jim especially and he will miss those in depth chats you used to have together. God bless xxx

We were very saddened to hear of Peter's untimely death. We have particularly fond memories of our times together in the Dacre Arms!. Peter was fantastic company and truly a scholar and a gentleman. He was a truly great drtinking partner! Love from Richard and Francescax

God bless
Happy memories of monday nights in the Dacre. We went to see 'Ink' last Monday. It would have been good to talk to Peter about the play.
We were so sorry to hear about Peter. He will be sadly missed.
Peter was my colleague through three changes of office. I miss him and dearly wish there could have been many more years. I will always remember his "Can I pick your brains?" about some obscure point of style which invariably ended in hilarity, however serious the subject. His constant good humour invigorated the most tedious shift. It was a privilege to have spent a little time with him and Sheila at home. I send her and Thomas my deepest condolences.
Journalist, screenwriter, playwright and (sickeningly) good at crosswords. A father and a husband to be proud of. Your comments on life linger. We won't forget you, Peter.
Peter will be much missed. Sincere condolences to his family.
Peter was a good friend and a loyal colleague. His dedication and humour will be sorely missed
Thinking of you. With all our love from Marilyn and Pete.
So sorry to hear of Peter's passing. He was a great guy to work with.
Remembering Peter - a lovely man with a wonderful sense of humour . You will be much missed by all your friends at The Dacre Arms .
Peter - You were wonderful to work with at The Times, that dry wit and good humour in adversity made the shifts almost enjoyable! So sorry that I can't be there for your farewell but rest assured, your life made others happy. Jayne
Sending love to you both, Sheila and Tom and remembering Peter xx
